Join us for the 13th annual Beat the Heat event, where one of Colorado's favorite trails meets one of its most glorious parks, all in support of Adaptive Adventures! Follow the winding courses southwest along Big Dry Creek Trail, and enjoy the breathtaking sight of Standley Lake against the backdrop of the majestic Flatirons. Its Endless Series sidekick in September is Fallfest. Get ready to journey back to the 80s at Beat the Heat, complete with leg warmers, scrunchies, neon colors, and the beats of Run-D.M.C. And don't forget to dress up for our 80s costume contest - it's going to be rad!

Course Info:
Half Marathon:
Half marathon athletes will begin by heading west on Big Dry Creek Trail towards Standley Lake Regional Park. Around 2.4 miles into the race, athletes will transition onto a 4-mile stretch of the gravel trail and road system within the park, which offers stunning views including a scenic north/south dogleg near the dam. Exiting the park, they will proceed west toward the south trailhead where the turnaround point is located. On the return leg, athletes will retrace their path, skipping the dogleg, heading straight back on Big Dry Creek Trail towards the finish line. There are 8 aid station stops for refueling along the route, along with 4 toilet stops.
10K:
10K athletes will begin by heading west on Big Dry Creek Trail towards Standley Lake Regional Park. Around 2.4 miles into the race, athletes will transition onto a 1.4-mile stretch of the gravel trail and road system within the park, where athletes will retrace their path towards the finish line. There are 4 aid station stops for refueling along the route, along with 2 toilet stops.
5K:
5K athletes will head west on Big Dry Creek Trail and turn around at 1.55 miles, where athletes will retrace their path towards the finish line. There are 2 aid station stops for refueling along the route, along with 2 toilet stops.
